PARKS/RECREATION IN FORT MORGAN, CO: Fort Morgan
has lots to offer, including over 40 acres of parks with many
beautiful flowers, trees and trails to enjoy year round. An 18-hole
golf course is also open year round, weather permitting, of
course. The city operates a recreation program that provides
a variety of activities to youth, adults and seniors, including
Swimming Pool Facilities, a BMX Track, Skateboard Park and a
Senior Citizens Center.

PARKS/RECREATION IN BRUSH, CO: The VFW Memorial
Park in Brush, Colorado includes a swimming pool, picnic
areas, a playground for children, baseball diamond, the
county fairgrounds, and is adjacent to a campground.
Pioneer Park features bike and hiking paths, an exercise
area, basketball courts and a baseball diamond. Sunset
Park also has biking and walking paths. Pettey's Park on
Mill Street, is beside a 9-hole golf course at Bunker Hill
Country Club, and features a wonderful playground
with a pond and fountain nearby. Prairie Trails Park
is the newest addition to Brush and features Doty Pond,
an inviting fishing sport for area youth. Brush's city
sponsored summer recreation programs provide many
opportunities for youth and adults, ranging from baseball,
weight lifting, tubing and tennis to arts and crafts. Private
businesses also provide recreation such as Brush Roller
Rink, Fireside Lanes (bowling), Sands Theatre, and more.

JACKSON LAKE STATE PARK: This Park, which is one of
Colorado's finest outdoor recreation and water sports area, is a great
place to take the whole family. It covers 2,700 surface acres and
offers many activities: boating, waterskiing, fishing, swimming and
camping. You will enjoy its warm-water and sandy bottom shore.
The lake has 260 campsites and 60 picnic sites for your year round
enjoyment. During the winter, the park offers camping, wildlife
observation, photography, ice fishing, ice skating and hunting.

Jackson Lake State Park
Fort Morgan Museum & Library: Morgan County, Colorado is very
historical and is rich in culture. When you visit the museum, you will enjoy
its many exhibits and artifacts. One of its most cherished exhibits is that
of Glenn Miller, who graduated from Fort Morgan High School. The
museum is located in downtown Fort Morgan in the City Park.

PAWNEE BUTTES: If you love adventure, a trip to the
Pawnee National Grasslands and Pawnee Buttes is a must.
This vast area spans from the plains of Morgan County
to Weld County. A great variety of wildlife inhabits these
natural grasslands, but the most amazing feature is the
butte itself which rises 250 feet from the plains and
can be seen from great distances. Come bring the whole
family, along with your picnic lunch, and enjoy the day
exploring.

MORGAN COUNTY EVENTS
There are many events held annually in Morgan County,
Colorado. No matter the season, there's always
something to look forward to. Some of these events include:
Morgan County Home & Garden Show - This event is fairly
new to Morgan County and is held every March - for
more information, contact Fort Morgan Chamber of Commerce.
Glenn Miller "Dancin on the Plains" Swingfest - Glenn
Miller attended Fort Morgan High School and to honor him,
this event is held the 3rd week of June and includes
many events throughout the weekend.

Windmill Century Classic Bike Ride - This bicycle race takes
place every June. For more information, contact the
Fort Morgan Chamber of Commerce.
Brush Pro Rodeo - the rodeo is held in conjunction with
the 4th of July festivities at the Morgan County Fairgrounds
in Brush, Colorado. The rodeo has been around for over
100 years, and became one of the largest pro rodeos in
the United States in 2005. The festivities, in addition
to a 3 day rodeo, include a parade, cowboy breakfast,
and more topped off with a spectacular 4th of July
fireworks display after the final rodeo.

Morgan County Fair - The Morgan County Fair is a week
long event held the first full week of August at the
Fairgrounds in Brush, Colorado. For Fair information

Oktoberfest - the Oktoberfest, which is a street bazaar,
is held the last Saturday of September in Brush, Colorado,
and includes arts and craft booths, games, dancing,

Fall Harvest Car Show - The annual car show rolls into
Fort Morgan every September. Vintage cars are on display in
downtown Fort Morgan for an entire weekend. Contact the
